According to the 2016-2021 China tractor tool industry operation situation and investment strategy research report, in the recent “Twelfth Five-Year” Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition held in Beijing, China’s one-to-one 400-horsepower continuously variable heavy-duty wheeled tractor was unveiled. In the future, continuously variable speed tractors will gradually replace power shift tractors as leading products. The mass production of power-shift tractors and the development of continuously variable-speed tractors have broken the monopoly of foreign technology and accelerated the pace of transformation and upgrading of China's agricultural machinery industry, which will drive a group of domestic agricultural machinery enterprises to actively develop new products.

The shortage of low-end products and the lack of high-end supply are the prominent problems facing the tractor industry in China. With the development of modern agriculture, the demand for operations such as deep ploughing, deep loosening, and straw returning to the field is growing, and domestic high-end tractors will have more room for development. However, the power shift tractor is about 100,000 yuan higher than the same type of ordinary tractor, which affects farmers' willingness to purchase. The agricultural machinery promotion department and users hope that the agricultural machinery purchase subsidy policy can tilt to the domestic power shift tractor.

Make the most of global resources

Power shifting and continuously variable tractors are already very mature mainstream products in developed countries, and the gap between China and China is at least 10 years. The domestic R&D and manufacturing technology of high-end tractors has made remarkable progress, but the key core technologies and parts and components are still very backward. The gearbox design, manufacturing technology and key component technology have not yet been mastered, and it still needs to rely on foreign countries.

Experts believe that to shorten the gap, domestic tractor manufacturers need to go out bravely, integrate global agricultural machinery resources through international operations, establish R&D centers in developed countries such as Europe, America and Japan, and use integrated technology to integrate innovation and break through high-end smart tractors. Bottlenecks in the development of manufacturing technology.

China’s first drag is the earliest example of “going out”. In 2011, China Yituo acquired a French factory owned by the Italian ARGO Group and established a research and development center. In September 2013, Yituo's power-shifting heavy-duty tractors with completely independent intellectual property rights were off the assembly line, ending the monopoly of international giants. At present, China's one-wheel power shift technology has been applied to 80 to 400 horsepower tractors. After a delay, large-scale agricultural machinery manufacturers such as Lovol Heavy Industries and Zoomlion also went out. The power-shifting tractor released by Zoomlion in 2014 integrates R&D resources in North America and Europe; the Lovol-Apos power-shift tractor launched by Lovol Heavy Industries this year uses the latest electronic control system designed in Europe.
